1。节奏：
节奏是非常重要的，特别是你理解beat、伴奏的节奏、节拍。不管你是否有音乐乐理的基础，去把握beat的节奏还是比较容易，你不一定需要理解那个 4/4拍，多少BPM，你只要能把握住基本的每个鼓点就可以了，尽量让你rap的节奏跟鼓点的节奏合拍。当然如果你能把你rap的一个段落正好是4个小节 最好，那样挺起来更美感一点。
2。歌词：
能够即兴freestyle出来歌词，对于刚刚开始的人来说是挺难的。但是就像打篮球一样，第一次的胯下运球的时候很别扭，但是多练习，习惯后胯下运球， 闭上眼都能过人。所以如果要想能够freestyle出来，还是需要平常多练习，没事的时候都能自己想，或者通过写歌词来练习，或者跟人在网上 freestyle battle，还有，就是要想rap出来，或者写出来的歌词有意义（make a sense），还需要多看书，知识面广，反映快，逻辑思维能力强，这样才能rap的精彩！不是乱来
3。押韵：
如果你想让你的rap好听，琅琅上口，那就要使用诗歌里面的押韵。比较简单易用的是句尾单字韵脚，当然，押韵还有很多种形式，你可以到网上搜索一下，有一点要说的是，没有必要去刻意的押韵，内容始终是首位的！
4。Flow：
通俗的解释就是你rap出来的强调刚刚开始，你可以去模仿一些别人rap的flow，然后在慢慢找到适合自己的。

Steps
Start by creating a drum beat. The drum beat must be consistent throughout the whole song and effortless for the listener to follow. You always have to include a Kick and a Snare; hi hats are optional but recommended due to the fact that it maintains the song's momentum and carries it on.

Create a melody line. This may consist of any instrument(Keyboard, Violin, Synth). Always make sure that the melody line fits and co-operates with the beat, meaning it should not go out of time.

Create a bass line. The bass line has to be played by an instrument with a very low tone (Bass Synth, etc). The bass line should be in the same key as the melody so that there are no 'sour notes' and the beat is easy to listen to. The bass line should not be as lengthened as the melody line but should work with it and fit together.

Structure the song. A popular song structure would be: Intro, verse, chorus, verse, chorus, chorus, middle 8 (AKA breakdown), chorus, outro. The intro usually consists of all the parts playing, the verse would be just the bass and the drum beat, then the chorus should be all parts playing, the middle 8 (breakdown) should be anything of your choice but must distinguish itself from the rest of the song and the outro is simply the beat just playing on until the song ends.
Write lyrics. Rap about anything but remember to write to the beat and make sure that your 'flow' is not whack! Just make sure that the lyrics match or just associate with the name of the song.



Tips
The hook should be something infectious and catchy. Listen to songs such as: "Big Pimpin" by Jay Z, "Drop It Like It's Hot" by Snoop Dogg, "Same Hoes" by Tu Pac, and "Bang Bang" by Dr Dre. The hook is basically the catchy punchline in every chorus. Like most of those songs listed, listen to the way the artist works with the beat to create a hook and do the same with your beat.

Add flavor to the beats by including drum fills (e.g. before chorus or verse, add additional bass and melody lines and make the song shine).

When creating a bass line: the bass could play a note on every kick of the drum beat.

Warnings
Don't rap about things that aren't true. Don't say you killed anyone when you haven't. That's how people get shot.

As you get better, consider trying other styles of music, where the focus is shifted to the entire band, and not just you rapping.

Correction: rap about whatever you want. For the most part, rap is like the wwf or wwe, whatever the name is: it is about image. A lot of rap focuses on "realness," but that is just not actually true. Instead, see what you do as art: you don't have to have actually shot someone in the head to say that you have, you don't actually have had to sell cocaine to say that you've pushed weight. The hardcore images in rap have become so overused and such a staple, that connection to reality is irrelevant. Just realize that you don't have to rhyme about that stuff to be nice with it. ②.ks 或cks结尾的文字，也以一个x代替，因为ks(cks)和x的发音相同，如thanks改成thanx，checks（现金）也改成chex。
③.o的用法也很特色，如Love改成了Luv，nothing改成了nuthin'，像字中的s，常改成了z，如cause改成了kuz，easy改成了EZ.
④.二文法.如going to改成了gonna, want to改成了wanna,out of改成了outta，kind of改成了kinda，sort of改成了sorta.re或e此种在快速演唱下几乎听不到的字，都被省略了，如more成了mo（如黑人电影movemoney， 即缩写成mo money），for改成了fo，或用数字"4"（音同）取代。
⑤."ing"之中"g"的省略,如nothing改成了nuthin',comming改成了commin'等，只要是ing进行式就可以省略g。而有 些字，因为说唱的关系，发音也改变了，如through一字，gh不发音是众人皆知的，而th的发音为"θ"，但在饶舌歌中，它发成了"t"，因此字被减 化成thru，而发音和true一字的发音相同，而nothing的th的发音也同此文法，由"θ"改发成"t"音。在拼字上简化成wit，但发音仍为 /WIθ/，为一例外。顺便一提，有些饶舌歌手抓到快言快语的好处，把一大串的字都串在一起，写在专辑上，感觉专辑名称或歌名特别的炫，但实际上，念起来 还是一样的。
