　　相对而言，这一代的成长是平稳而幸福的，独生子女、小皇帝，曾经是属于他们的称谓，而经济改革带给全社会的财富，使他们的童年和少年时期不再象祖辈和父辈那样坎坷，牛奶、面包、玩具和看不完的小儿书，使他们的生活看上去富足而充满希望。

　　经济高速发展带来的欣欣向荣景象显示他们似乎没有理由对未来感到悲观。然而，事实并非如此，这一代人的整体困境，正是中国社会集体沦落的现实.

大学扩招让越来越多的年轻人接受了高等教育，但世界工厂和权贵经济的现实却不能给这一代提供相应的就业机会。尽管各高校的统计资料上，就业率均在80%以上，但这一数字只能说明：人们对数字造假早已习以为常见怪不怪，甚至觉得不作假才是社会新闻。据笔者对几所高校（非重点）2007年就业情况所做的了解，真实就业率在20%以下，许多重点院校的就业率也只在30%左右。
　　也就是说，很可能每年都有上百万的年轻人遭受“毕业即失业”的困境，一位担任大学辅导员的同学对我说，在他曾经带过的学生中，最长的，有人毕业五年后仍未找到任何一份工作，成为彻头彻尾的“啃老族”。
　　不否认那些最优秀的毕业生仍然可以找到工作，并可获得发展所需的外部条件，尤其是那些城市出身的官员和富商家庭子女，其生活的精彩程度甚至超过历代。但这一代的整体困境是，与父辈相比，他们进入主流社会的机会大大减少。一九八九年之后，官本位意识的重新强化，权力对资源的极大垄断与掠夺，逐渐使机关、事业单位之外的就业者沦为“二等公民”，而机关单位的消肿压力和内部人化，使公务员梦变得如此昂贵，几百比一甚至几万比一的报考比率面前，被录取的幸运等同于彩票中奖.

　　当越来越多的大学本科毕业生被迫接受几百元的月薪，辛苦劳累面对的是动辄上万元的商品房价格，而医疗、教育、住房福利对这一代人来说，只是很久很久以前的传说，或者是罪恶的资本主义的表现.

　　三十年改革开放的成绩和“世界工厂”的落地是他们最终的屏障，也就是说，虽然没有基本的社会保障，但他们可以作为体力劳动者进入工厂打工，由于多年经济发展的积累，世界工厂的厂房可以容纳越来越多的劳动者，但这意味着独生子女们要面对背井离乡、通涨压力下工资数额的长期停滞、社会治安的侵害等一系列问题，而一个中国特色的户籍问题，让大量漂泊在外的年轻人怀揣暂住证丧失归属感，终生茫然，甚至找不到自己.
　　童年的梦在现实面前破灭后，盗窃、抢劫、杀人等犯罪问题开始困扰80后以及他们的家人，翻开报纸的社会版，触目惊心的犯罪事件足以给出证明。
　　官方的统计是不可信的，事实更能说明问题。盛夏，毕业的季节，年轻的美术专业研究生小高在我面前流下眼泪，这位知名艺术院校的迎接毕业生为找工作，已经到了病急乱投医的程度。作为一名学生党员，她在研究生期间担任班长、学生会干部，并曾获三好学生、优秀学生干部等荣誉，是公认的好学生、乖乖女，然而，半年来寻找工作的经历使她终于明白，成绩、荣誉都是假的，重要的社会关系，但她的父亲却只是个基层警察，没有权势。如今，小高怀揣一张五万元的存单四处求人，她的要求不高，只想做一家师范学校的美术教师，但费尽周折，5万元仍一分不少地躺在她的存单上，连送不出去的机会都没有。截止颁发毕业证时，这所知名院校2007届的19名美术专业研究生只有一人找到工作，此人家境极其富有，花花公子，上学期间驾驶一辆宝马，在校园里风光无限，炮女无数，从一年级开始就用源源不断的金钱开道，铺就了今天的就业之路。“真他妈想退挡。”最后，文静的女孩子小高对我这样说.
　
　　小吴是北京重点大学毕业生，一直游走在城市边缘，没有户口，没有档案，断断续续做些临时性工作，与一位在母校门口摆摊卖电话卡的同学租住在一间没有窗户的小房子里，说起毕业时的情形，他唏嘘不已，“毕业酒应该是快乐的，但那天没有一点欢乐的气氛，80%的人没找到工作，这毕业酒还有什么喝头！没喝头还是要喝，毕竟同窗四年。喝便喝醉，喝醉了便哭，男生女生抱在一起哭，不象是告别，倒象是要走向人生的屠宰场。。。。。。”
　　
农民的孩子更惨，找工作只是一种奢望。
　　比农村大学生更惨的是农民工.
　　
老乡小卜比小高小一岁，作为农民工，他在这个城市里已经生活了7年，仍然身无分文，他跑了两个小时找到我只有一个目的——借钱，两百块。随便说了了个借钱的理由，一听就是假的，他不善于撒谎，而且我了解他，只为了填饱肚子。一年多之前，他从一家化工厂辞职时，工资是每月800元，“实在做不下去了，车间粉尘太大，肺受不了”，很少有人能在那家工厂做到超过一年。辞职后，小卜跑过保险、拉过广告，却总一无所获，有次吃饭的钱都没了，恶从胆边生，假借嫖娼的机会，偷走一部中年妓女的手机，为避免妓女起身追赶，连妓女的衣服也一起偷走。又终日想着买****，“迷翻一个狗日的大款。”对25岁的小卜来说，只有童年是快乐的，他的文化程度不高，下面的话在我听来，却有着诗意的精练，“懂事后再也没有快乐过，总想回到童年放牛的时候，牛在河边吃草，我躺在草地上看蓝天白云。但无忧无虑的童年再也回不去了……”

这样的故事能够讲出很多，我遭遇的最令人无语的事：一位女大学毕业生公开声称“谁想包我就来吧，但他们却只想着嫖我”。也许个案不能说明什么，但当这样的个案无处不在时呢？招聘会上黑压压密不透风的人群说明什么？
　　
　　当分肥已成权力者共识，权力的封闭性便成普遍自觉，对年轻一代来说，父权与官权构成一道强大的墙壁，阻挡住他们的人生梦想，权力的颟顸一点点地吞噬下一代的空间，那个较为广泛参与瓜分牧草的父辈的年代已经成为过去，留给他们的，是难以存立的沙漠。他们不再是孩子，年轻的容貌背后，是他们绝不快乐的心，高居不下的自杀率能够说明问题。年轻一代的抑郁乃至绝望，其根源何在，也许还没有成为这一代共同思考的问题，但正如研究生小高那样，当现实与二十年的思想教育形成对立，一夜间他们就会彻底明白，谁对谁错，这个社会本身就不需要辨别对错。
　　一位久矣毕业的研究生说，我们先学习伟大思想，后来学习道德，再后来学习法律，在后来学习人性，现在我们彻底找不到人性的底线在哪里了…….
